Miguel SALAZAR

(Bogotá, Colombia, 1976). Diirector, producer, and director of photography. He has a BA in History from Los Andes University in Bogotá and an MFA in Film Production from New York University. He has directed and produced a short fiction film Hammer, and four documentary features Stolen Land, The Siege, El Caso Nule, and Letter to a Shadow, that have won awards in Festivals such as Cartagena, Kiev, Lima, and Havana. A Sundance Documentary Fund grantee, his films have been broadcasted by Sundance Channel, ARTE – ZDF, Caracol Televisión, RCN Televisión, Telesur, VPRO, and Discovery Channel. He is also the photographer of the books Panoramic Colombia and Colombia 360º Cities and Towns. Currently, he is director of Producciones La Esperanza where he produced and directed the feature documentary Ciro & Me.
