(Puno, 1987) Peruvian filmmaker. Member of the Huaychani community, he grew up in the countryside with his family, until the age of seven, when he started to work. In 2011 he entered the UNA’s Social Communication Sciences programme. He directed the short film El sendero del chulo (2007) and the feature film Wiñaypacha (2017), which was made with the help of a funding prize which he won in the Peruvian Ministry of Culture’s National Film Competition in 2013. Wiñaypacha was a success at the Guadalajara International Film Festival, winning prizes for Best First Work and Best Photography in the Ibero-American Feature Film category.
