Luis Hernán CASTAÑEDA

Born in Lima, Peru, in 1982 and has lived in the United States since 2006. He writes fiction, particularly novels. His first was Casa de Islandia (2004), which was also the independent publisher Estruendomudo’s first book. Later on he published Hotel Europa (novel, Peisa, 2005), Fotografías de sala (short stories, Alfaguara, 2007), El futuro de mi cuerpo (novel, Estruendomudo, 2010)La noche americana (novel, Peisa, 2011), La fiesta del humo (novel, Peisa, 2016) and Mi madre soñaba en francés (novel, Alfaguara, 2018). He has also published two short books for young adults: El chamán y la sacerdotisa (Peisa, 2007) and Viaje al norte del verano (Alfaguara Serie Roja, 2012). He also teaches Portuguese and Hispanic Studies at Middlebury College, Vermont.
