WELCOME TO HAY

The full programme is available for this year’s festival, 25 May to 4 June. We very much look forward to seeing you in Hay.

Workshops

There are workshops for families and children of all ages and interests, from drama to farming, music to cookery.

As the workshops have small capacities, some of these events are repeated a few times – please scroll through the list below to find what you are looking for at a time suitable to you and your children.

If you are buying children's workshop tickets (events prefixed with W) you only need to purchase one ticket per child. Parents and carers can attend free or sign a release form on the day if the child is 9+.

For HAYDAYS events (HD), and storytelling events (S), we ask that parents and carers buy a ticket and attend the event unless the child is 14+.

Event 26

Andy Middleton, Anne Meikle and Alan Netherwood

Workshop – Best for Wales

Venue: Compass

What are the actions required that can improve the integration of the third sector, business and public sector together to be best for Wales? How is Wellbeing of Future Generations Act 2015 being used to stimulate change to the way we govern and do business in Wales helping to create a future fit for generations to come? Anne Meikle of WWF Cymru and sustainability consultant Dr Alan Netherwood will report back on the first year of implementation by the Welsh Government. A discussion will follow on participants experiences, how the Act can be used to help Wales fulfill its potential and what role we can take in this.
