Exhibition Openings Tour

Venue: La Alhóndiga
This tour takes in three exhibition openings in one morning. The tour starts at La Alhóndiga with the exhibition at Casa Árabe entitled Reed Pens and Vignettes: Arab Comic Art in Motion.
Casa Árabe has organised a series of events that reflect the cultural diversity of the extensive Arab-Muslim territory: music, poetry, comic art, calligraphy, film and more.  Casa Árabe has been permanently based in both Madrid and Córdoba since 2006. During the Hay Festival weekend, Segovia becomes the third Casa Árabe location in Spain.
The next stopping point on the tour is the Palacio Quintanar, where two Swiss photography exhibitions will be on display on the ground floor – Swiss Positions: 33 Takes on Sustainable Approaches to Building and The Swiss Touch in Landscape Architecture. Meanwhile the top floor of the palace provides the setting for an exhibition by British artist Harland Miller entitled In Dreams Begin Monsters, which features oil on wood, engravings and three copper umbrellas.

Indian architect Anupama Kundoo has earned a global reputation for her use of new materials and commitment to sustainable buildings. She will be hosting a three-day workshop on design and use of materials based on the concept of Building knowledge, in which participants will create an artistic structure using more than 5,000 empty bottles of Solán de Cabras mineral water, which will be on display at IE University over the course of the festival.

This event has taken place
