An open-air reading of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Life in Algiers

San Sebastián is European Cultural Capital this year. As part of the many events being held in the Basque resort is a series of adaptations of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Cervantes’ Life in Algiers. The director of San Sebastián 2016, Pablo Berástegui, the stage directors Fernando Bernués and Ernesto Caballero, the British Ambassador in Spain Simon Manley and the actress Haydn Gwynne will read extracts of works by both writers, accompanied by the writer José Félix Valdievieso and Christina Ward of the British Council, in different parts of the garden.

In the event of rain, the event will be transferred to the church of San Nicolás and take place at the same time.
