Damon Sawyer Project

Brecon Jazz 2009,
Bob Haddrell (The Barcodes) – piano and organ, George Pearson (Sonny Black/Daniel Smith Band) – bass, Nick Payn – sax (Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings), Damon Sawyer – drums. Guest performance from Alan Glen of The Barcodes.

Drummer Damon Sawyer appears at Brecon Jazz for the first time with his own project promoting his new album Struttin’ South on Note Records. The album has had airplay all over Europe and America. No stranger to the jazz and blues scene, having played with Sonny Black for over five years, Damon has also worked with Paul Jones, Pee Wee Ellis, Ben E King and Paul Rodgers. You can expect to hear a healthy mix of jazz, blues and New Orleans funk.
