Virtual Writers' Weekend

The virtual Writers’ Weekend, July 9-12, provides inspiration, education and interaction for writers at all levels, working in all genres. Choose from 36 workshops and talks on the craft of writing and book up to five one-to-one appointments with literary agents and author mentors to receive supportive feedback on your writing, a golden opportunity for any writer seeking publication. Ask your questions at two keynotes with best-selling authors Eoin Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series, and Lissa Evans, author of Old Baggage and Wed Wabbit, plus author readings with fantasy novelist Jasper Fforde, memoirist Nick Barlay, and debut author Kate Bradley. Discuss your writing in peer-to-peer feedback sessions and virtual Braindate small-group chats by interest. Enter one of our six writing competitions, including a free children’s writing competition, deadline 19 June.

Writers' Weekend Winchester is a wonderful time to immerse yourself in the writing world, from brushing up on your craft to gaining valuable advice and insights from both experts and your fellow writers. And a virtual writing festival means you can join in from wherever you are – this is the perfect opportunity to develop as a writer. 'See' you there! - Melissa Addey, author of historical fiction, running a Marketing Your Books workshop.
