Virtual Writers' Weekend

The Virtual Writers’ Weekend, 24-27 June, 2021, is a place where writers working in any genre, at any level, find information, inspiration and interaction with other writers and industry professionals. Attend talks with Q&A, keynotes with bestselling authors Diana Gabaldon (author of the Outlander series) and children’s author/illustrator Chris Riddell, meet one-to-one with literary agents to pitch your manuscript or for feedback from author mentors. Every year, writers receive offers of representation at the Writers’ Weekend. This year, it could be you!

Speakers include Robert Fabbri, Lissa Evans, Tracey Corderoy, MG Leonard, Derek Miller, Kiran Millwood Hargrave, Helen Fields, Reshma Ruia, Miranda Malins, Candy Gourlay, Kira-Anne Pelican and Ness Wood, to name a few, as well as top literary agents who will give talks on the craft of writing and how to get published. And, as a wonderful way to close the programme, we’ll have a panel discussion given by international bestselling author Kate Mosse, novelist Abi Daré and literary agent Lucy Morris.

Discuss topics that interest you in Group Chats, join a Writers’ Circle online writing group for peer feedback, attend readings by authors that have found success through the event, or read your own work in an Open Mic. Enter one of our six writing competitions, including: Little Tiger Picture Book competition, Arvon Opening of a Novel, Writing for Children, Flash Fiction, Writing Magazine Short Story Competition, and FREE Playmakers Young Writers’ Competition. Deadlines for competitions are 28 May.

There are packages for every budget. For all details on the programme and to book (deadline 20 June), visit
