Dhaka 2012,
The Readers' Circle discuss the process of translating Kazi Nazrul Islam's classic. Translations by Ayesha Kabir, Jackie Kabir, Tanveerul Haque, Asfa Hossain, Shirin Hasanat Islam, Saeeda Karim Khan, Shahruk Rahman and Niaz Zaman.

Kazi Nazrul Islam's Bandhon Hara (Unfettered) is perhaps the first epistolary novel in Bangla and draws upon the writer's own experiences as a soldier in the British Indian Army. It is also a triangular love story. Apart from revealing traits in the writer's character and the themes that would inspire his poetry, the novel is remarkable for its perspective on women.
