The process of establishing justice after the war in Bosnia has been orientated around retributive concepts – identifying individuals as perpetrators of crime and seeking to punish them accordingly. But this approach has overlooked more collective and restorative initiatives, which have been taking place in Bosnia on a small-scale and voluntary basis.
