Paper Moon is set in the state of Kansas during the Great Depression. A nine-year-old girl called Addie Loggins believes a small-town con man called Moses Pray could be her father after her mother dies. The locals foist Abbie off on Moses and soon Addie and Moses become a team, travelling from town to town and making money in every dishonest way imaginable.
