The activist Jody Williams won the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for her work towards an international ban on anti-personnel mines and cluster bombs, which has involved coordination tasks with 1,300 organisations in 95 countries. After a life dedicated to activism and the defence of human rights, she has published her memoir under the title My Name is Jody Williams: A Vermont Girl’s Winding Path to the Nobel Peace Prize.
