Namita Gokhale in conversation with Miguel Larrañaga

This is India Year in Spain, celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Writer and publisher Namita Gokhale is the co-founder and co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival and of ‘Mountain Echoes’: A Bhutan Literature Festival. She is the author of 13 books of fiction and non fiction, among them Paro: Dreams of Passion, her debut novel, The Book of Shiva and her soon to be released novel Things to Leave Behing. A literary activist she also passionately promotes Indian’s language literatures worldwide. She talks to Miguel Larrañaga, humanities professor and vice rector of IE University.

Namita Gorhkale and Neeta Gupta introduce the famous JLF* Jaipur Literature Festival from India. And for the first time, Hay Festival Segovia recreates the JLF Book Mark initiative, in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española. This initiative provides a meeting point for literary agents, authors, editors, and translators to discuss new projects and to sign contracts, establishing an unbeatable stimulus to cultural and business relations between India and Spain. Namita Gokhale talks to Elvira Marco, General director of AC/E and Miguel Larrañaga, humanities professor and vice rector of IE University.
