No. not at all. How can they be incompatible. What religion is a religion that does not allow freedom of choosing who represents me or anyone else. How can I ever be guided to have a specific frame of mind. If religions really were made my GOD then it was HE who gave us the capability to think, reason and decide. How can HE make contradictions in two things that he made, because I believe GOD is faultless.

By and large. A fundamental society based around a single set of religious beliefs can be intolerant. Democracy flourishes best where there is healthy and open debate.
