Jo Whiley received a very warm reception at Hay this evening, as she presented her BBC Radio 2 slot live accompanied by special appearances from poet Simon Armitage, author of Around the World in 80 Trains Monisha Rajesh and This Book is Gay author Juno Dawson. The radio DJ kept her audience entertained with music from Ella Fitzgerald, Nick Cave and The Smiths to name a few.
