Hay Festival Choir Project

Hay Festival commissioned choir leader Fiona Evans to work with eight local primary schools to come together and sing at Hay Festival 2018. Fiona wrote a song especially for this Hay Festival project, entitled 'Imagine the World'. The event celebrated the lives of others, with uplifting melodies and songs from around the world.

Archdeacon Griffiths Church in Wales Aided Primary School, Llyswen

Clifford Primary School

Peterchurch Primary School

Staunton-on-Wye Primary School

Talgarth Primary School

These schools came together to sing for everyone attending the Hay Festival Programme for Schools on Thursday 24 May and performed on site again later on 24 May in the Oxfam Moot to kick off the HAYDAYS programme.

This event was sponsored by Hay Thursday Market and a collection took place after the event for Send My Friend to School, with over £300 raised for the charity.
