Julieta DÍAZ BARRÓN

She has a degree in Communication Studies from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master's degree in Art from the University of Oregon in the United States. She has spent her career in the fields of academia, civil society organizations, content production and editing, and in public service. For more than 18 years she worked in the creation, organization and direction of public social and community development initiatives and programmes for highly marginalized communities, women, indigenous people and children. For more than 27 years she lectured in subjects covering communication, literature, editing and reading. She co-authored the book: El que con la izquierda imagina. She has also participated with texts in the books: Por qué escribo, Nuevas instrucciones para vivir en México and Una vida en el arte published by Gris Tormenta. She gave the TED talk: “Children’s literature is not childish”. She is currently Regional Dean of the School of Humanities and Education in the South Central Region with Tecnológico de Monterrey. But what she is most proud of, by far, is being Moskar's wife and Pedro and Romi’s mother.
