Born in Madrid 49 years ago, she studied Journalism at the city’s Complutense University. She did a postgraduate degree in International Information and the Global South which, together with the winds of fate, took her to a job in the Latin American Department of Radio Nederland, the Netherlands’ international broadcaster. She spent there seven unforgettable years in which she saw and learned much about Latin America, learning not only from her own work, but also from what her colleagues taught her. In 2012 she moved to Miami (United States) to join BBC Mundo, where she is a multimedia journalist and occasional editor. Between 2016 and 2018 she was the correspondent in Los Angeles, California. This was an enriching experience that gave her the opportunity to cover the most varied stories, from the world of Silicon Valley tech, to the Mexican border, via, of course, the award ceremonies of Hollywood. The subjects that interest her most are social ones, especially women and childhood. She is also attracted to political analysis and international relations.
