(Guanajuato, 1996) Graduate in Arts and Cultural Management from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. Currently studying on the History of Art postgraduate degree course at the Autonomous University of Mexico. Buenrostro’s work includes art criticism, creative writing, political essay and short stories. Twice winner of the UAA National Art Critics’ Prize, in 2017 and 2018. Finalist in the Miguel León Portilla UNAM & Artes de México competition in 2018. Grant-holder on the PECDA artistic development programme in 2019. Published by the British Council, La Jornada, Terremoto, La Domadora and Viceversa Magazine, among others. Has given workshops on artistic appreciation, museology and art criticism in different spaces, including at the León International Book Fair, the University of Guanajuato, and the Aguascalientes Centre for Literary Studies and Research. Also worked as a curator for the León Cultural Institute’s Jesús Gallardo Gallery.
