Fernanda TRÍAS

Born in Uruguay in 1976, she now lives in Colombia. She is a fiction writer, translator and creative writing teacher. She has published Cuaderno para un solo ojo, The Rooftop, La ciudad invencible, No soñarás flores, Pink Slime and El monte de las furias. For Pink Slime she received the Eñe/Casa de Velázquez residency award (Spain, 2018), the National Literature Prize (Uruguay, 2020), the Bartolomé Hidalgo Critics' Prize (Uruguay, 2021), and the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize (Mexico, 2021). In 2024, Pink Slime was nominated for a National Book Award in the United States. Both The Rooftop and Pink Slime won a British PEN Translates Award (2020 and 2022). Her novels have been translated into more than fifteen languages.
