Laura MORA

mora-laura Laura Mora was born in Medellín, Colombia, where she currently resides. She is a graduate in Film Directing from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Director of the feature film Killing Jesus. She directed, together with Carlos Moreno, the series Pablo Escobar, The Drug Lord for Caracol TV in 2012. Mora is the director of the Netflix series Green Frontier (2018) and The Great Heist (2019). Her new film, The Kings of the World, has been awarded with the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival, where she also received the Signis award and the Feroz award presented by the press. Furthermore, she won the award for the best film at the Biarritz Festival, and at the Zurich and Warsaw Festivals. The film is produced by Ciudad Lunar (El abrazo de la Serpiente) in association with La Selva Cine, of which Mora is a founding partner. She will be one of the directors of the Netflix series inspired by the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude by Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez.
