Born in Colombia, Andrea Montejo graduated from the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne. She started her career in the publishing industry at HarperCollins New York, where she co-founded Rayo, a publisher of Latin American and Spanish-language books that brought the work of Spanish and Latin American authors to the United States. In 2007 she founded Indent Literary Agency, representing Spanish-, Portuguese- and English-language authors from around the world.
