Carmen CARRILLO

In the eighth semester of her Hispanic Literature degree. She is interested in learning about publishing, the creative process, literary criticism and linguistic research. She helps her classmates by editing and reading their texts. Reading them is important to her because she believes in the potential of their work. Currently a grant-holder with the Centre for Humanistic Studies of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. At the centre she works on databases of disappeared people, as well as on a project that aims to disseminate women’s literature in the state of Nuevo León. With the support of the Languages, Discourses and Semiotics Department of the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities, she is carrying out a discourse analysis study of northern Mexican songs. Elipsis 2019 was a project that helped her to mould her interest in literature, thanks to the people she met and the team involved.
