Aura García-Junco is a writer and screenwriter. She has worked with media outlets in Mexico, Latin America and Spain and has won various fellowships for her work, including from the Casa Estudio Cien años de Soledad, the Young Artists programme run by the national Fondo para la Cultura y las Artes, and the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas. She has published two novels, Anticitera, artefacto dentado (Tierra Adentro, 2019; Booket, 2022) and Mar de Piedra (Seix Barral, 2022); a long essay, El día que aprendí que no sé amar (Seix Barral, 2021); and a work of personal narrative, Dios fulmine a la que escribe sobre mí (Sexto Piso, 2023). In 2021, she was selected by Granta magazine as one of the 25 most outstanding young Spanish-language writers.
