Anahí was born in Lima in 1983 and although she studied Graphic Design for Business at the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, her artistic talent took her in other directions. Her love of ballet began when she was aged 19 and she started working in television adverts, which led to modelling work and the programme Habacilar (2004-2006). In her work as a model, she started out working for Peruvian and foreign models such as Patricia Field and Missoni. In terms of her acting career, she started with the series Esta Sociedad in 2006. She debuted in film in 2008 as one of the cast of Dioses by the director Josué Méndez; the movie offered her a first break in cinema and also won the Abrazo award for best feature film at the Biarritz International Film Festival and two awards at the Lima Film Festival. Anahí’s talent is not only limited to television, modelling and film: in 2009 she acted in the musical Cabaret put on by the Preludio Cultural Association. In 2011 she appeared in the US/Peruvian film 186 Dollars to Freedom. In 2012 she acted in the soap opera La Tayson and Corazón Rebelde, a remake of the Argentinean production Muñeca Brava. In 2013 she appeared in the film Asu Mare and participated in the musical El Chico de Oz. She also appeared in the miniseries Mi amor, el Wachimán 2. She is the author of the book Fuck cancer (2021), an account of her experiences with breast cancer.
