Marie Modiano was born in Paris in 1978. She is the second daughter of the writer Patrick Modiano and the illustrator Dominique Zehrfuss. Poet, composer and singer with five albums to her name, Marie Modiano is the creator of a unique, powerful and dreamlike universe, and has published in France so far the poetry book Espérance mathématique (2012), Upsilon Scorpii (2013) and, in 2017, as part of Gallimard’s Blanche collection, her second novel, Distante, which has been well received by both critics and the public. She currently lives in Paris.
