Catalina Mejía (Medellin, Colombia, 1979) began her career as an editor with literary publishing companies, where she learned the editing process from top to bottom. Between 2009 and 2013 she was an editor at Ediciones Sins entido, a publisher specializing in graphic novels and a pioneer in the professional publishing of graphic literature. In 2013 she joined the team at Ediciones Salamandra to take charge of Salamandra Graphic, a new imprint dedicated to the publication of graphic novels, one that has been part of the Penguin Random House Group since January 2020. Her work as a publisher has been combined with lecturing on the Master’s in Publishing run by Santillana and Madrid’s Complutense University. She also teaches at the Billar de Letras school in Madrid. Over the course of her career, she has been responsible for the publication in Spanish of authors such as Seth, Ana Penyas, Richard McGuire, David Mazzucchelli, Gipi, Manuele Fior and many others.
