Luz Karime Santodomingo Orozco was born in Barranquilla in 1987, the same city where she did her undergraduate degree in Social Communication and Journalism. At 26 years of age she moved to New York to study for a Master's degree in Liberal Studies at the New School for Social Research. Since 2016 she has worked as a lecturer and researcher into academic writing and literature at the Universidad del Norte, always with a gender focus. Until December 2023 she was the director of the ECO Writing Centre at the same university. She has published individual poems and leads reading workshops. Los hombres de K is her first book, published with SÃlaba Editores.
