Mayra González Olvera has been, since January 2018, the Literary Manager of the Alfaguara, Lumen, Reservoir Books, Salamandra and Taurus imprints of Penguin Random House Mexico. With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, she has held different positions within the most important Spanish-language publishing groups (Santillana Ediciones Generales and Penguin Random House): editorial assistant, editor, communication and public relations manager and literary manager. She is a member of the executive committee of the Carlos Fuentes Chair of Hispano-American Literature at UNAM. In addition, she has combined her publishing activity with her media work, appearing on radio and television for almost two decades, on media outlets such as Grupo Radio Centro, Tv Azteca, Foro Tv, Canal 22, Grupo Imagen and W Radio. Her experience as an interviewer has allowed her to hold hundreds of conversations with international writers and publishers such as Jostein Gaarder, Goran Petrović, Joyce Carol Oates, Kiren Desai, Carlos Fuentes, Sergio Ramírez, Laura Restrepo, Leonardo Padura, Ricardo Piglia, Núria Cabutí, Jorge Herralde, Juan Casamayor and others.
