Dr Patricia Davila is an expert on Plant Systematics and Conservation Biology. She is a senior researcher at UNAM and currently occupies the position Vice Rector of Institutional Development of the National University of Mexico (UNAM). She has thirty-five years of experience as leader of interdisciplinary and international research teams that have been supported by various Mexican and foreign institutions. She has a wide experience as a teacher and as a researcher, as well as a governmental advisor for biodiversity issues. She also has a wide experience on academic-administrative activities at UNAM. She has a Ph.D issued by Iowa State University, at the United States.
