Eduardo TOKESHI

Eduardo Tokeshi Namizato (Lima, 1960) graduated from the Faculty of Art of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima. His artwork, which has been exhibited throughout Latin America, combines colonial and modern symbolism as a reflection on identity and belonging. Tokeshi's exhibitions in Lima have included Animales Asociados (Galería Forum, 2016); Montaña Mágica (Galería Forum, 2015); El Gran Dibujo (Centro Cultural Ricardo Palma, 2015); and Tokeshi: Retrospectiva 1984-2012 (Galería Germán Krüger, 2012). He has represented Peru in many cultural events abroad, such as the Sao Paulo Biennial and the Havana Biennial.
