Catalina Cortes Severino is an anthropologist who writes and works with video. She is an associate professor of Anthropology at the National University of Colombia. Her research interests revolve around questions of ethnographic writing and practice, memory, history of the present, image-time, everyday life, and affect and processes of subjectivation. Her most recent publications are El giro corporal en la antropología visual (2019), the documentary essay Remembranzas (2018) and Esos afectos voraces – Una correspondencia (2022), the latter was written together with Laura Quintana.
