María Emma Wills Obregón is a Colombian political scientist who has combined her work as a researcher, her duty in public office and university teaching. Her most recent publications are: Memorias para la paz o memorias para la guerra. Las disyuntivas frente al pasado que seremos (2022); she was an editor of Narrativas artísticas del conflicto armado colombiano. Pluralidad, memorias, interpelaciones (2021); and between 2007 and 2018, she was in charge of several publications on memories and armed conflict for the Grupo de Memoria Histórica and the Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica. She also served as Advisor to the General Directorate of the Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica and was part of the Historical Commission of the Conflict and its Victims agreed between the national government and the FARC. She has been Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Political Science at the University of Los Andes and the National University of Colombia.
