Grupo Bahía is one of the first groups to go down the road of spreading the music of the Pacific. Directed by the maestro Hugo Candelario González, it preserves the roots, the feeling and the spirituality of the music of the Colombian Pacific. It was founded in 1987, however, they launched themselves professionally in 1992. Their first recording was Con el corazón... cerca de las raíces in 1998. It was followed by Cantaré (2001), Pura Chonta (2005), Mulataje (2010) and Ya se liberó (2021). The group has been touring in different parts of the world since 1995 until now. In January 2022, Grupo Bahía participated in Expo Dubai 2020, during the tourism week.
