Carmen ALVARADO

Carmen Alvarado de Escorcia was born in Barranquilla, she is a cultural manager, librarian and reading promoter. She is the author of the books Tío Tigre y tres tristes… conejos and Tío Conejo está enamorado. She began her literary career listening to and collecting oral tradition. She has published articles in the press and edited books on projects with community mothers, among others. For 30 years she worked at the Caja de Compensación Familiar Confamiliar Atlántico, in the library and reading promotion programmes.
