(Madrid, Spain, 1954) Graduate in Hispanic Language and Literature from the Autonomous University of Mexico, with a master's degree and doctorate in Letters (Hispanic Linguistics) from the same institution. She is a researcher emeritus in the area of philology, historical syntax, theory of linguistic change and history of the Spanish language. Author, academic and currently president of the Lexicography Commission of the Mexican Academy of Language.
