Carlos DEL AMOR

Carlos del Amor’s reputation for journalistic excellence is backed by international recognition, including awards for his documentary Revealing Dalí. He made his literary debut in 2013 with the short story collection Life, Sometimes (La vida a veces); one of its stories, The Storage Room (El trastero), was adapted for film. His first novel, The Year Without Summer (El año sin verano), was published in 2015, followed by Confabulation (Confabulación, 2017). In 2020 he released Emotionarte. The Double Life of Paintings (Emocionarte. La doble vida de los cuadros), which won the Espasa Prize for Non-Fiction. His 2022 book Retratarte was followed this year by Una dama desconocida, a detective-style tale about a mysterious woman supposedly painted by Velázquez.
