Germán Francisco González Valdez has been teaching Literature on the Bachelor’s degree programme in Modern Languages at the Faculty of Languages and Literature of the Autonomous University of Queretaro since 2015. His area of specialisation is American Literature. His research interests lie in literary studies and alterity, as well as in the 19th- and 20th-century American canon, particularly texts from the American Romantic period and African-American literature. He has taken part in opera performance workshops and masterclasses. He has also taken part in professional musical theatre productions, as well as in productions of plays from the Spanish Golden Age, Elizabethan theatre, American realist theatre, and clown theatre at national and international festivals. He has directed two university theatre productions at the Faculty of Languages and Literature, and three choral concerts at the same faculty.
