Galen and Paul is a band conformed by Galen Ayers and Paul Simonon. Galen Ayers is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter. Galen’s musical roots go back a long way and her life has always been steeped in music. As a kid, ‘normal’ days involved touring with her father, Kevin Ayers, and learning to play and write music. Ever since, she writes both solo and in collaboration, making and listening to eclectic music in both of her native languages, English and Spanish. Style icon Paul Simonon is an artist and musician best known as the bass guitarist in The Clash and musical collective The Good, the Bad and The Queen. Paul formed The Clash with Mick Jones and Joe Strummer 1976. After The Clash, Paul founded a band called Havana 3a.m. and returned to painting – his first love. Other work includes collaborating with former band mate Mick Jones on the 2010 album
Plastic Beach by Gorillaz. Simonon also worked with Damon Albarn, Tony Allen and Simon Tong on The Good, the Bad & the Queen (2007 & 2018).
