Alana PORTERO

portero-alana Alana S. Portero was born in Madrid in 1978, in the San Blas neighbourhood. A History graduate, specialising in the Middle Ages, from UAM, stage director, dramatist and writer. She writes for media outlets such as El Diario, Público, SModa and Vogue España, as well as on her own Patreon. She is the author of five books of poetry, a play, and several stage adaptations. She has participated in short story anthologies such as Asalto a Oz, Alcasseriana and Cuadernos de Medusa. In 2023 she published her first novel: La mala costumbre, with Seix Barral publishing house, which is set to be translated into 11 languages (in English as Bad Habit) and published in 14 countries.
