(Ecuador) BBC Mundo Journalist, video producer and contributor to different programs at the BBC World Service. Previously worked with the German public broadcaster Deutsche Welle as journalist and presenter and with different media organisations in Ecuador, her country. Ana María has lived and worked as a journalist in La Habana, Quito, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo and London. Co-autor with other 10 colleagues of Epidemia Ultra (2019), a book about the rise of the far right in Europe. She studied journalism in Cuba, where she grew up, and obtained a Master's degree in Political Communication at La Sorbonne University in Paris.
