Senior Associate at Dattis and consultant on economic and governmental issues. She is an Economics graduate from the Universidad de Los Andes, with a Master's degree in Economics from the same university and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Columbia University in New York. She has had extensive experience in the public sector, in the areas of public finance and fiscal and monetary policy. She was on the Board of Directors of the Bank of the Republic, High Presidential Advisor for the Private Sector and Competitiveness of the Presidency of the Republic, General Vice Minister of Finance, General Director of the National Budget of the Ministry of Finance and Director of Investments and Public Finances of the National Planning Department. Furthermore, she served as Executive Vice President of Fasecolda, Country Economist to CAF and researcher with Fedesarrollo. Carolina Soto is also a member of several boards of directors.
