Visual artist and writer born in the city of Barranquilla. In 2020 she published her first book of stories Todos somos escapistas. She is a candidate for a Master's degree in Literature and Creative Writing at the Universidad del Norte. She is currently the director and co-founder of the artistic collective Brurráfalos, which won a grant for publishing anthologies of literary workshops as part of the 2023 Minculturas National Stimulus Programme. Viviana has run in-person and virtual workshops and courses on painting, creative writing and journalism. She has won numerous awards in the visual arts and writing, among which the following stand out: Winner of the Relata 2023 Workshop Directors Prize in the Short Story category; honourable mention in the 8th National La Cueva Story Prize 2018-2019; selected for Barranquilla’s 3rd Plastic and Visual Art Salon in 2018; chosen as a literary representative of the city of Barranquilla for the Lienzo Urbano Tour Italia in Florence and Rome in 2018; in 2017 the Regional Department of Women and Gender Equality recognised her career and artistic work; 3rd place in the Bueno y Breve National Short Story Contest, El Túnel art and literature group.
