Jesús Israel Nieves Romero is a psychologist, therapist and cultural promoter. He coordinates the collective La Otra Bandita in Queretaro, a community space that promotes emotional well-being in working-class neighbourhoods through art, listening and collective work. His work focuses especially on childhood and the transformation of masculinities from a perspective of care and community. He is the author of the monologue Ya no vuelvo contigo and is co-author of the books Vicisitudes de la infancia and Masculinidades al plato, where he explores the bonds, tenderness, and challenges of inhabiting the male body, based on different narratives. He firmly believes in building emotional networks that embrace vulnerability and tenderness, because—as he says—"the shell needs care from all of us."
