Luis Solano (1972) is the founder of and editor at Libros del Asteroide, an independent publishing house that started out in Barcelona in 2005. He received a degree in Law in 1995 and a Master’s in Business Administration in 1998. He has worked in the field of strategic consulting and has more than twenty years of experience in the publishing sector. He has participated on numerous occasions as a guest speaker on various publishing courses and Master’s degrees. His aim is that the catalogue he has built at Libros del Asteroide be coherent and last over time. He has published more than 300 titles, including classics of contemporary fiction and new national and international authors such as Rachel Cusk, Robertson Davies, Damon Galgut, Maggie O’Farrell, Jacobo Bergareche, Manuel Chaves Nogales and Eduardo Halfon.
