With over a decade of experience in architectural design and coordination, a Master's degree in Sustainability, and nearly eight years as a full-time professor, Joel Samper López brings a powerful combination of experience and knowledge to his work. Over the past 10 years, he has developed his work from academia and spaces for reflection. He is emphatically interested in the right to the city, human rights, equity, and social justice, and how these relate to the built environment as a document of social and historical thinking. His work focuses on the development of architectural projects and research on urban issues, promoting equity through inclusive design. He is a fervent advocate of criticism and innovation as tools for addressing the challenges of the built environment, always seeking to leave a lasting impact on the profession and society.
He currently serves as a visiting professor in the Architecture Programme at UTB.
