Sema D’Acosta is an independent curator, art critic, educator, and researcher, and one of Spain’s leading photography specialists. He currently serves as curator of the ANKARIA PHOTO Award for 21st-Century Photography and as curator of the FULL-CONTAC section of the SCAN International Photography Festival in Tarragona. He has previously curated PhotoEspaña for Santander and Cantabria (2023) and the 9th edition of the Pilar Citoler International Biennial of Contemporary Photography (2017–18).
