Fiction writer, journalist and Literature lecturer. He holds a degree in Hispanic Literature from the University of Guadalajara and a Master's degree in Asian and African Studies from El Colegio de México. He won the Mariano Azuela National Narrative Prize (2016), the Comala National Young Short Story Prize (2018), the Ricardo Garibay National Prize for Non-fiction by Young Writers (2020), the José Alvarado National Short Story Prize (2020) and the Agustín Yáñez National Short Story Prize (2021). Outstanding works of his include the short story collections La noche sin nombre (2018), Padres sin hijos (2021), De cerca nadie es normal(2022), Los inocentes (2025), the collection of journalism Los niños del agua (2021), and the novel Todo pueblo es cicatriz (2023), winner of the Amazon First Novel Award and the Filiberto Award for Best Crime Novel 2023.
