​​Patricia Ledesma Bouchan holds a bachelor's and Master's degree in Archaeology from the Mexican National Archaeology Institute (ENAH), specializing in the management and conservation of archaeological heritage. She was head of the Archaeology course at the same university for four years and, since 2015, has been the Director of the Templo Mayor Museum of the National Institute of Anthropology and History. She has curated several temporary exhibitions, such as Xochipilli. Entre luces canta y llega el sol, Coyolxauhqui. El astro, la diosa y el hallazgo, and Tenochtitlan y Tlatelolco, a 500 años de su caída. She has worked in researching heritage management, the dissemination of scientific knowledge, audience studies, and museums, as well as on the major cities of Central Mexico during the post-classical period, particularly Tlatelolco and Tenochtitlan. She has written several articles on these topics in national and international journals, in addition to coordinating exhibition catalogues such as Tetzáhuitl. Los presagios de la conquista, with Guilhem Olivier and Templo Mayor. Revolución y Estabilidad with Eduardo Matos Moctezuma, and the book Tenochtitlan. La caída de un imperio together with Miguel Pastrana and Eduardo Matos. Since 2010, she has taught on the History and Archaeology courses at the ENAH and, together with other researchers, has coordinated the Permanent Seminar on Museums and Archaeology since 2021. During her career, she has received two honourable mentions at the INAH Awards for Best Undergraduate Thesis and Best Exhibition Project; as well as recognition in 2022 of the Heritage and Culture for Women in Art award from the House of Dior, the Kaluz Museum, and the Ruta de Galerías Association.
