Born in Barcelona and with a degree in Humanities and Business Administration, he began his musical training at the age of six, studying piano at the Convervatori del Liceu. After several years as a baritone, he left singing and began a new career as an educator, giving lectures on the history of classical music, opera and art. He has hosted various television programmes, such as the successful This is Opera, This is Art and 200. Una noche en el Prado which are broadcast worldwide. On the radio, he regularly contributes to No es un día cualquiera for Spanish National Radio and also did work for the Cadena SER broadcasting company. He has published successful works of non-fiction Si Beethoven pudiera escucharme (2013) and El amor te hará inmortal (2016). Historia de un piano (Destino, 2024) is his debut novel and has won the Ramon Llull Prize.
